JOEY SCHMIDT

• The founder of Schmart Hockey Performance

• A highly skilled, passionate, and experienced hockey coach of 11+ years, having worked with Hockey Extreme with ex-pro David Trombley, and the Head Goalie Coach of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the OJHL, Daniel Vella. Additionally working part time with Valkyrie Hockey and Barnburner Hockey Academy throughout his career

  • Throughout this period, he’s worked with BOTH players and goalies of all skill levels

    • 5+ years as Trainer/Assistant Coach at the U15AA and U16AA Levels, in Girls AND Boys hockey (OWHA & GTHL)

    • Players and goalies as young as 5 years old in houseleague, as well as players and goalies as far up as U18AAA & Junior A

    • 2000+ players, 700+ goalies coached

• A Centennial College and University of Toronto graduate with a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion, and an Honours BSc. in Psychology respectively

• Most of all, a coach who truly cares about his athletes and loves being a part of influencing and shaping the next generation of amazing hockey players and goalies
